I saw him first on Monday, all unaware
On the crowded street walking towards me
And I thought there he is, my beautiful boy
On Tuesday he brought me home to be fed
On Wednesday he kissed me, on Thursday to bed
Friday a wedding amid so much joy
On Saturday I found him in another’s arms
And on Sunday he was gone

for the dverse prompt of 2/4/20: the days of the week. I’ve dealt with the subject before,
please visit the Holy Week set at my other site, where I use words to make visual art rather than literary.

  1. I like the way you used each day to tell the story of the relationship….as sad as it was. Hmm..and Saturdays are not always so great after all.
