Will it be brief flurries
Coming and going all morning
Before drifting off forgotten
Into the winter gloom
Will it turn into snow
entombing the frozen city
and interfering with my idea
about what I can get done today?
Or will the afternoon sun
heating the unseen side
of the heavy overcast
turn it all to rain
and wash away the winter.
