Ignominiously alleyed
Poignant lost charm
In the delicate blue color
And the loving turning
Of its limbs

The alley was behind a school
You could feel the crying child
Teachered in a warm hug
Back when teachers were allowed to hug
And the same child
Calm now
Comforting a doll

Someone didn’t want to throw it away
It sat inside, even though beyond repair
Storing its memories until it wasn’t even useful
to the alley-pickers
or for firewood, or scrap

Even an old broken chair
Has memories worth sharing

for the dverse prompt of 8/27/20: verbing a noun

The chair
