When the morning sun shines
Shines through the windows
Through the windows I see
See the world come to life
Life in the greening shrubs
Shrubs filled with singing birds
Birds finding the bees as they emerge
Emerge from the warming mulch
Mulch warming with the day
The day drawing the sun up over the rooftops
Rooftops outlined through the bright windows
Bright windows letting in the bright nrays
Bright rays blinding me so that I close
Close close off the aptly monikered blinds
Blinding out the morning sun

  1. Melodic. I like how you did this. Thanks for sharing it.

And, by the way, thanks so much for taking the time to leave me a short comment on the sestina that’s so elusive to me (and to you? though I believe you’re closer than I am) Thank you for that. I appreciate you.
Thanks for the poem today. Be well. I wish you miracles.
