I live to see your dimples when you see me
And for those days when, windows open wide
You tumble in like summer’s gentle breezes
And brighten up my day though I’m inside

Reminding me about your happy laughter
That follows fast upon your dimpled cheeks
And rambling walks without a destination
Just the ticket for these sunny weeks

And though we all know that winter’s coming
After summer’s beauty yields its way
Still your dimples deepen when you see me
Still your laughter follows when you see me

And even winter cannot stop your dimples
Or the sparkle in your eyes on darkening days

from a first line prompt by my friend Michelle Van Der Karr
